Techno is in the lifeblood that courses through the veins of Vivien Fop. A producer that has really made the industry sit up and take notice with his debut releases ‘Cognitive’ & ‘Positive Trauma’. Classically trained in Paris at the famous Abbey Road Institute as a musical engineer, Vivien is a master of the dark art of production and his latest work is a clear indication that he truly understands how to navigate the textured world of Techno. His music is industrial yet full of the passion you would expect from a Parisian native.
Creating and performing as an artist from a young age, he is an accomplished pianist, guitarist as well as being a highly-skilled and technical DJ. Performing during the Paris International Fashion Week and at the Parisian Nuit Blanche 2019, Vivien is fast becoming a DJ to be reckoned with in France and further afield.
From events in the millionaires’ playground of Monaco, to broadcasting on radio stations Hotmix Radio, UZIC Radio, Radiobit.ch and Radio Bresse, to creating original music for various contemporary lifestyle and street fashion brands; Vivien displays a love for music that extends all the way back to his childhood.
My music is the true face of my soul
Obsessed with an eclectic group of artists such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Marvin Gaye, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley, it was not until Daft Punk and the arrival of the French Touch, that Vivien’s life changed. The filtered disco music that took the world by storm gave Vivien the urge to dig deeper. Ultimately this led him to the Belleville Three; Techno Godfathers Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson.
He has clearly learnt from the best as his track ‘Cognitive’ demonstrates a true understanding of Techno mastery. It is an intoxicating introduction to his work and will set any dancefloor alight.
Vivien Fop never stops exploring the musical world he lives in and soon his catalogue of work will overflow with a sound that will be hard to ignore.
